New Song: Our next new release on deck is The Edge of Sanity, which has gone through quite a bit of changes from it’s original state. The entire midsection interlude time change was eliminated to maintain better flow to the song keeping it as basic as possible, however it still maintains its heavy driving feel. I just recently recorded all of the main vocals for it leaving only vocal dubbing to do before the song hits the mixing phase.

Transmutation: The next song release receiving the re-imaging treatment we call Transmutation will be City of Pyramids, originally appearing on the 2009 A93 debut album, Beneath the Cypress Tree. Although the basic theme of the music has stayed intact, it has a grittier sound to it compared to the original version with newly structured guitar parts, live bass and drums, and a much better vocal performance by me. Next up for the Transmutation treatment will either be Face of Fear or reaching farther back to Isolation.

A93 Song of the Week: The last cycle ran for a total of 21 weeks ending with the latest Agrippa93 song, Pale Horse. Following the end of that I dedicated a week to feature just Agrippa’s Laboratory songs and then took a break from it. The new Song of the Week cycle will kick off strong with the our latest song, The Edge of Sanity, as soon as it’s finished.

TV Show: We are scheduled to film at the Connecticut public access TV studio for the show the Metal Cydicate on June 9th. The show airs regularly on Sundays on channel 14 at 10pm. I’ll post when our broadcast date is scheduled. We’ll receive a DVD of the show and I’ll be cutting it up into youtube sized bites for your viewing pleasure.

Music Video: We have settled on Forever Wasting Time as a choice of video, however due to a disagreement among band members as to the value of a music video for marketing, this project has been put on hold. Hopefully we can resolve this soon and proceed with the planning process with the film makers.

Show: The next show on the schedule for us is at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT opening for Fear Factory and Prong. We’ve been very excited about doing this one since we were invited in April. There’s still no work on band line up or if we get to play the main stage or not. The gig after that is just 2 weeks later at the Webster Underground on June 18th with a bunch of other local bands playing.

Booking: So far there’s nothing schedule after the June 18th show, but that’s not from lack of trying. I’m shopping us out to some Connecticut hot spots such as the El ‘N’ Gee and Bleachers, but with no results. This has put a bit of a halt on my plans to play out as many places as possible throughout the summer.
