(Music written and recorded by Agrippa in 2004)
A Profound Realization blends heavy guitars with strong industrial beats, synths and samples as was the common style during this period of recording sessions for Agrippa93. This song is from the Strict-9: 2004-2008 Recording Sessions collection.
Lyrics: A Profound Realization is about the character discovering he has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), or more commonly known as multiple personality disorder. During black outs, a foreign personality takes over his body acting out behaviors that he himself would never do. later, through visions and fragmented memories, his deplorable actions become clear to him. The subject appears again in the song Stranger in the Mirror.

Misleading
You almost had me there
Believing
There was an ounce of care
And leaving
Me with this cross to bear
Feeling like a fool
Should have seen the signs
Feeling like a tool
This is not the time
You have crossed the line
Taking all that’s mine
Leave me my dignity
This is not the place
Leave without a trace
Yours is not the face
That I want to see
Revealing
A face I should have seen
Remembering
The words I did not mean
Reliving
A version of the scene
Feeling like a fool
Should have seen the signs
Feeling like a tool
This is not the time
You have crossed the line
Taking all that’s mine
Leave me my dignity
This is not the place
Leave without a trace
Yours is not the face
That I want to see
This is not my dream
Nor is it my theme
Nothing to redeem
There’s nothing here to see
