(Music written and recorded in 2008 by Agrippa)
No Happy Ending was the last recorded song from Agrippa93 as a solo project before enrolling new members to form the band. No Happy Ending is part of the 2004-2008 Recording Sessions collection.
Lyrics: Depression – Everyone deals with it at one time or another in life. Depression can slowely consume you and pull you into a dark place where daily life can be too much to struggle through. Sometimes it feels like the world is crashing down and there is no hope for recovery; No happy ending in sight.
Lyrics written by Agrippa in 2008.
Will you follow me
Through my misery?
Deep depression
From my digression.
Will you follow me
Through my misery?
I used to feel awakened.
Seen life for all its glory.
And then that sight was shaken.
No happy ending to this story.
Life has jaded me
In my despondency.
Can I take you there
To live in my despair?
It’s indescribable.
I’m inconsolable.
So tired and miserable.
I used to feel awakened.
Seen life for all its glory.
And then that sight was shaken.
No happy ending to this story.
I used to feel awakened.
Seen life for all its glory.
And then that sight was shaken.
No happy ending to this story.
I used to feel enlightened.
Life’s path lit up before me.
And then that road was darkened.
No happy ending to this story.
Will you follow me
Through my misery?
Deep depression
From my digression.
Will you follow me,
Will you follow me
Through my misery?
Will you follow me?
In Studio: The song consists of 20 tracks of instruments including drums divided into 7 individual tracks (kick, snare, toms, floor toms, hi-hat, crash cymbals, and ride cymbals), a programmed bass track, a synth track, a programmed sequence track, 5 guitar tracks (4 dubbed rhythms and 1 lead), and 5 vocal tracks. The unusual vocal effect in the outro of the song is the result of experimenting with a vocoder (voice and encoder).

Live Performance: No Happy Ending has never been performed live.
