Strict-9: 2004-08 Sessions

Strict-9 is a collection of songs recorded during 2004-2008, which planted the seeds for the growth of Agrippa93. Although writing for some of the songs began as early as 2002, the recording sessions began in January of 2004 as a solo project of Agrippa’s and ended in the late spring of 2008 at the inclusion of additional members to form the band. The album was never release to the public, however the individual songs have been available for free since 2004. All songs were produced and engineered by Agrippa.

Title: The name Strict-9 is a play on the word strychnine and was the original intended title for the 1st A93 CD release. Later, 9 songs from these recording sessions were chosen for the collection and all remaining songs from this period were grouped into Lost & Forgotten.

Personnel Background: Agrippa93 was founded Agrippa and remained a solo project until 2008, when 2 guitarist were invited to form the band. All music was written and performed by Agrippa with the exception of Matthew Thornton performing bass for the song, Open Wound.

Agrippa - Lead and back up vocals, guitars, synths, sequence programming, piano, bass guitar, bass programming, and drum programming.

Cover and Liner Notes Design: The cover design was based on the original A93 logo, which was modified and placed into a 3D environment by graphic artist, Jennifer Hill.
