City of Pyramids (Transmutation) was written and recorded in early 2010 to conform with the evolved sound of Agrippa93. It is the 2nd song released from Agrippa93’s Transmutation series.

Lyrics: Like many other lyrics written by Agrippa, City of Pyramids (Transmutation) is an occult influenced song referencing the trial of the attainment of adept hood. Other songs with occult or mystical themes include Evocation, Aeon Dawning,Divinity, I Invite, Equilibrium, Forgotten Will, Priest of Thebes, Reincarnate, and Voice From the Corner.

As part of the Transmutation project, City of Pyramids (Transmutation) was re-imaged from the original by the current A93 lineup to conform with the new sound. The most noticeable difference in the new version is the live drums played by Alex Richard and the live bass played by Rich Fern, both replacing the programmed originals. Second is the more aggressive and creative approach to the guitar work, which brings a grittier tone to the song. The entire song was rerecorded from scratch.
