Reincarnate is a completely re-imaged version of the original 1st written and recorded by Agrippa in 2004.  The song went through a transformation during the writing sessions for A93’s 1st album to better fit with the band’s style at that time. Reincarnate is the 5th track from Agrippa93’s 2009 album, Beneath the Cypress Tree.

Lyrics: Reincarnate is a song about the lighter side of death and the theory of the soul’s transformation between lives.

“During 2000-2005 I presented lectures in the theories of reincarnation from a Pagan perspective at Pagan festivals and other gatherings. The subject was also included in a 6 week lecture series I taught on the practices of Wicca and Paganism between ‘94-’98. The lyrics to Reincarnate were inspired by those lectures.” - Agrippa

In Studio: Reincarnate was produced and engineered by Agrippa. The original 2004 version of Reincarnate was techno influenced and very upbeat as opposed to the 2008 reinvention of the song, which is acoustic based in the style of Pink Floyd. It is the 1st Agrippa93 song to include stringed instrument synths.

“I had a few songs like Reincarnate and Revival that were way more techno than any other genre. There really wasn’t a place for that style in the direction I was taking A93, but I didn’t want to lose this song that meant so much to me. I think it translated much better into the more melancholy sound.” – Agrippa

Live Performance: Reincarnate has never been performed live, but was briefly considered along with Fade Into Oblivion as an acoustic performance.
